You did the tidy job. Google has no idea.
Someone searches "electrician Hastings" and the map pack decides who gets the call. I am not going to pretend reviews are the whole story. How close you are does most of the work and I cannot change that. What I can change is how many recent reviews sit under your name, and whether anyone ever replies to them.
An electrical callout starts with a scare. No power in the flat. A switch too hot to touch. A rental that needs sorting before the tenant moves in on Friday. Nobody researches at that point. They open Maps, look at three listings, ring one.
Two things get looked at in those ten seconds. The number under the stars, and the date on the newest review. Google says the count and the rating feed how prominent your listing is. The date is the part the customer reads.
If your last review is from winter and the crew in Flaxmere has three from this month, you lose a job you had already earned. Nothing to do with the quality of your work. The profile just went quiet while you were flat out.
If your runs cover central Hastings, Flaxmere, Camberley, Bridge Pa, Havelock North, Clive, Taradale and Napier, that is the profile I am working on. One listing will not rank you from Wairoa to Waipukurau and I am not going to tell you otherwise.
One call to set it up. After that it runs while you are up a ladder.
About 15 minutes on a free call. Nothing to install and nothing for the crew to learn.
I write it, you change it until it sounds like you. Then it stays the same for every customer.
You mark the job complete, or I import your recent customer list. If your job software can export one, bring it to the call and I will have a look at it.
If it comes back sour you get a private text before anything is public. Ring them, sort it, and it usually ends there. Nobody is blocked from posting on Google.
Every customer gets the same request. No picking who you think will leave five stars, no incentives, no gate before Google. I built it that way on purpose, to sit inside Google's review policies rather than push at them.
Fifty review requests a month by SMS and email, private alerts, and reply drafts you approve. Enough for a one or two van operation.
